'Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."' [John 14:6]

In a world that seems to be daily moving more and more towards the assertion that there are no absolutes in life, it is important for us as Christians to know that we believe otherwise.

Jesus came to earth claiming to be THE' Way, THE' Truth and THE' Life. He spoke absolutely and He spoke exclusively. That is the message of the Gospel. Only through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ can anyone be made right with God - there is no other way by which man can be saved.

And man needs to be saved. If you take a look at the world where largely things have been done under the rule of 'Our will be done,' it is not that difficult to see that we have made an absolute mess of it. When man's will rules supreme, the world is thrown into
chaos.

It's time for a group of passionate individuals who will stand up and declare, "Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." That is, after all, how Jesus taught us to pray [Matthew 6] and that is also what He pointed towards when asked what the greatest
commandment was:

"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." [Matthew 22:37]

When John the Baptist acknowledges Jesus in John 3, he says this, "He must become greater; I must become less." I doing so, I believe that he gave us a lesson of humility and one that each of us who call ourselves Christian, need to embrace.

Jesus put it a different way, in Matthew 16:24-26, when He said, "If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for Me will find it. What good
will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?

That is the call I choose to respond to daily. Do I always get it right? Not at all, but fortunately I serve a God who knows my heart and is there to lift me up when I stumble and fall and lead me again in the right direction.

What about you? Are you prepared to respond to a message that is not favourably received in a world of greys and faded boundary lines. In a world that says as long as you are comfortable and happy, you can believe what you want and do what makes you feel good? Are you willing to be laughed at and mocked for the
'close-minded' beliefs and ideals you will hold to? Even prepared for the possibility of persecution?

In a world proclaiming no absolutes, I choose to boldly stand and follow the One who came to earth claiming to be the Way, the Truth and the Life. I stand with Paul and say, 'For me to live is Christ, to die is gain!' [Philippians 1:21] and with Joshua, that
you can choose whichever way you will, but as for me and my household, we will choose the Lord! [Joshua 24:14]

I want to be always, and in all things, Faithful In
Serving Him!!!
